Star Party Moved to December 20th

As often happens after the passage of a storm, tonight suddenly looks good for astronomy. Nevertheless, due to the pace of the change and Sunday nights being problematic for some with Monday morning following, we have decided to postpone until next Saturday, December, 20th, 6:30pm, again at Brower Observatory. The 20th will actually be closer to the new moon, and so will be better for deep sky observing.

Tomorrow looks even better than tonight, unusually so, so set your telescopes in your backyards to start them cooling for some at-home viewing. Easier still, set the lounge chairs and foam pads outside, to more comfortably lie back and look up with naked eyes. Tonight especially is the peak of the Geminid meteor shower, so with any luck, there should be plenty of shooting stars!
