Volunteers Needed: Hosts for DRA, Aides Elsewhere

I have a new job that will always keep me busy in Augusta until at least 6:00pm on Saturday nights. This will be less of a problem during the summer, when the Sun sets at 9:00pm; but, in winter, it requires for someone other than me to be the host at The Damariscotta River Association. Other volunteers living near Galaxy Quest or Brower could similarly help Jacob and Colin prepare those sites for star parties before I could arrive. After what was, for me personally, a strangely chaotic year, I want to return to scheduling star parties as I did in my first years as President, by announcing a full year’s schedule in advance every winter. Volunteers to help at each site would be part of this planning, so volunteering would not become an undue burden. It would only be necessary to volunteer for nights when one were sure to be available. If a volunteer or two appeared, we could meet at DRA perhaps as early as next week, as well as during other months this winter.
