Saturday Night’s CMAS Star Party or StarChat

Whatever the weather, join us tonight, Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Brower Observatory, at 6:00pm. If it’s clear, we’ll have a star party. If not, we’ll retire indoors next to the wood stove, to discuss all things astronomical. To start the conversation, Brian Murphy will discuss his 60mm Lundt Hydrogen-Alpha solar telescope with the double-stack Etalon filters. A number of newcomers have inquired about attending, so if we can’t see the sky, we’ll happily teach beginner’s lessons indoors. This is also a good opportunity to discuss the club’s plans for the upcoming year with CMASians from the Western part of the realm. Per usual, all are welcome. See you tonight, under the stars, by the fire, or maybe a bit of both!
