In past years, Dwight Lanpher successfully coordinated with you and your club's member's regarding their participation in the ANSF events. I was recently asked to assist the Park with that task this year. There will be multiple events and venues for astronomers to set up their telescopes and binoculars to view the incredible skies over Acadia National Park. Each year the crowds grow larger as visitors enjoy the opportunity to see the stars and planets like never before and listen to presentations with expert subject manner. I was speaking with one of your club members last year and he mentioned that, "this was his sixth year at ANSF, and it is one of the best stargazing events he attends". The success of past Night Sky Festivals was made possible by the voluntary participation of your club's members. Thank you!

I am writing to you today to request your assistance to facilitate me with the means to get information out to your club members in the most expedient and efficient manner, by either:

1. In the next week or two, I would like to provide your club members with information about how they can be apart of this year's telescope and binocular viewing events and other relevant information about the Festival. I will also be sending out a Doodle Poll where your club members can sign up for viewing events with their respective telescopes and/or binoculars. I am hopeful that this will be the extent of the communications, however there is always the possibility that additional emails of instruction will be necessary.
