The weather is looking good and I encourage you to consider joining us for the weekend. Cobscook is the second darkest site (after Katahdin) that I've measured in Maine: 21.58 Mag/arcsec^2 and you couldn't ask for a more pleasant location right next to Cobscook Bay. Signup is not necessary and camping is free if you stay at the group site. Just tell the gate person that you are here with the astronomy group. Along with amateur astronomers from clubs across Maine, we have a built in audience of 60 to 100 State Park campers that have joined us in the past. Not as crazy as the ANSF Cadillac Star Party and a lot more fun. I'll definitely be there.---Dwight Lanpher, Club LiaisonOn 8/18/19, 5:37 PM, "Charlie Sawyer" <csawyer7 at roadrunner.com> wrote:The Maine State Star Party on Friday August 23 and Saturday August 24th at Cobscook Bay State Park.
