I had a good time at the meeting a couple of months ago. Unfortunately I have a heart condition that has prevented me from attending star parties and I will be having triple by-pass surgery on Dec 15 which will put me out of commission for the rest of the winter. Hopefully I will be a new man by spring and I can return to club meetings.

Yes; extraordinarily cool, and beautifully built. Is it possible to point the scope straight up at the zenith? The hatch does not open clear to the top of the dome, but there may be a way to flip the scope on the mount so that it hangs off center and points straight up anyway.
I plan to build a top hatch on the other side next spring. Survived surgery but not able to climb up to dome for a while.
