This is a “heads up; surf may be down” message warning of the possible postponement of tonight’s star party at Galaxy Quest (June 16, 2012). At 1:30pm, Jacob reports that Galaxy Quest is socked in with dense clouds, despite sun and partial clouds only 65 miles away at my house.
All the different weather reports disagree about tonight’s skies. The best predict few clouds but virtually 100% humidity, making for bad seeing; the worst say heavy to total cloud cover, leaving nothing to see at all. We’ll be monitoring this over the next few hours, and reporting a decision to meet or postpone later in the afternoon.
With apologies for the error, if we postpone, we will not be able to meet tomorrow night as originally stated. Galaxy Quest will not be available.
