I hate canceling star parties. Always hope I’m right! Here’s the news:
On this beautiful, sunny day (Friday, April 25, 2014), folks have inquired whether we might move the star party ahead to tonight, to take advantage of the good weather. Trouble is, reports from Darryn at DRA’s office, and from Norma near Damariscotta, say the clouds are already approaching in the afternoon and early evening. The Clear Sky Clock then shows a night with significant cloud cover by 9:00pm, and getting worse as the night progresses. Several loyal but wise members have already mutinied, saying they would not drive so far on so iffy a night. Saturday and Sunday are expected to be even worse, with rain and total cloud cover.
