So, has the suspense been killin’ ya? Drum roll please!
CMAS herewith confirms the star party tonight at Brower Observatory, as ordained by the Gods of the Clouds. As so often happens after a storm, tonight’s skies will show a consistent, if counterintuitive, duality. The same winds that have blown away the storm have blown away the moisture from the atmosphere, for unusually fine transparency. As a result, views of anything faint and fuzzy shall be spectacular, so we’ll point at galaxies and nebulae. Then again, those same winds will cause planets to boil in the eyepiece, which is easily fixed by saving them for another night. Wonder how this duality could be true? Join us at Brower tonight, to see it for yourself, and to hear the answer in person!
