Join CMAS for our return to Salt Bay Farm. It’s been a while since we visited this spectacular farm on a hillside overlooking the Damariscotta River, with unobstructed views in all directions. Mars and Jupiter should be visible before full darkness. Arrive as early as you like if you want to set up before dark, or later if you want to spend less time in the cold before observing. The farmhouse will be open for warming and a bathroom.
OLD HAUNT; NEW NAME
For those who have been to this site before, the signage from the road has changed, because DRA – The Damariscotta River Association – has merged with another conservancy to form The Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust. The site where we are going is the same as ever. We will be to the right of the farmhouse as one drives in from the road.

WEATHER
Most forecasts predict heavy snow on Friday, followed by clear skies on Saturday. Clear skies often follow major storms, so we may very well be able to meet. We’ll keep an eye on the skies as well as the roads and the parking lot at Salt Bay Farm, and confirm the star party as the time approaches.
