Chop Point Star Party is Cancelled

The star party at the Chop Point School originally scheduled for this Friday, April 28, 2017, has been cancelled. Cloudy weather is forecast for days on end, yet Chop Point needs a decision for its parents by tomorrow morning (Thursday, April 27) at 9:15am. If the weather miraculously improves overnight, we may un-cancel, but that looks to be unlikely.

The email used to communicate with the school has not been working correctly. Many messages have not arrived, including ours suggesting we add a solar viewing. Now that Mary Webster has heard the offer, she hopes to schedule one for an upcoming afternoon. I suggested a Friday. That would allow at least a one-star star party for this academic year.
