Camelopardalids Meteor Shower

On the night of Friday, May 23, with any luck, the world will see the first-ever Camelopardalids Meteor Shower. It is expected to peak at 3:00am on Saturday the 24th, so plan to climb out of bed to see it. “Sky and Telescope” has an excellent article:

Flash Star Parties in Augusta and Beyond
