What happened to summer? With apologies for its sneaking past me on a seemingly instantaneous trip into the middle of September, we have a star party this Saturday, September 16, 2017, at 7:00pm at Brower Observatory. Weather forecasts are mixed, per usual, with AccuWeather Astronomy predicting a fine night, and MeteoBlue predicting clouds. There will be no rain date, due to most of us being at the Acadia Night Sky Festival on the following weekend.
