With forecasts calling for thick clouds, CMAS is postponing the star party at Brower Observatory originally scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday, March 14, 2020).
Looking ahead, after consultation with the board, CMAS is further postponing all star parties until further notice, due to the Coronavirus. With all the cancellations statewide, nationwide, and worldwide, it seems right to play our part in assuring that astronomers from our many communities do not inadvertently catch and spread the virus. We can not assure that our star parties would not contribute to the pandemic, so it is best, for now, to stay home.
