CMAS Star Party Tonight — Saturday, November 19, 2022

Join CMAS at Brower Observatory tonight! There should be at least a few good hours of observing before any clouds roll in. For those wanting to set up while it is still light, the Sun sets a little after 4:00pm, dusk falls by 4:45pm, with total darkness by 5:45pm.

STAR PARTY AT BROWER OBSERVATORY

Saturday, November 19, 2022

341 Route 126, Whitefield, ME 04353

If you will be using mapping software to find the observatory, use Apple Maps or Bing Maps. Google Maps displays Brower Observatory in the town of Pittston, miles from its actual location! If you will be driving on Route 126 from Augusta (from the west, toward the east), find the access road to the observatory on the right, a few hundred feet before the reflective green road sign making the boundary from Whitefield into the town of Jefferson. Its paved beginning rises briefly, steeply uphill before turning to gravel and leveling again. Drive far back into the woods, past the house, and onward to the observatory.
