Flash Mob at Night Owl Observatory

9:00pm; arrive as early as you like to set up or to see the Trischief in daylight

6 Beaver Drive, Litchfield, ME 04350

A “flash mob” is a star party held on short notice, when the weather is good. In this case, the forecasts are questionable; but, since your host, Lenny Arsenault, lives at Night Owl, he is going to set up the Trischiefspiegler telescope in anything short of a downpour, and hope for either clear skies or breaks in the clouds.

Lenny and Colin have our new Trischiefspiegler working really well, so they want people to have a chance to see it. This unusual telescope allows for the unusual combination of high-resolution at high magnification with full brightness. Mars is an ideal target for a telescope of this design and will be high overhead, so enjoy this excellent opportunity to see Mars better than ever before. From Hardscrabble Road, follow the red lights through the right turns leading not far off the road to Night Owl.
