Important Business Meeting
CMAS needs new bylaws because we plan to incorporate as a 501(c)3 non-profit, and the old bylaws are unsuitable for that purpose. Incorporating will allow tax advantages for the club and its donors, and will better protect members against liability for public gatherings. The new bylaws also restructure the club’s management to improve operations.
Dues-paying members are eligible to vote. This meeting will be held by Zoom in the hope of helping more members to attend on a weeknight, and to keep within the rules of the old bylaws that require changes to the bylaws to be made at a regularly scheduled second-Tuesday-of-the-month meeting. Getting a good crowd is important when voting on bylaws.
If Zoom meetings are not to your taste, let us know and we will find another way for you to vote.
