CMAS Southworth Planetarium Trip — It’s Official!

CMAS FIELD TRIP

CMAS is hereby officially headed to Portland for lunch at The Great Lost Bear, followed by a show at Southworth Planetarium!

|       Saturday, March 10, 2018
|       Beginning at 1:00pm in Portland

LUNCH AT THE GREAT LOST BEAR

We’ll be having lunch at The Great Lost Bear at 1:00pm. Parking should be available on Ashmont Street, the first street on the left after The Great Lost Bear, when traveling away from the center of the city. Locals often park in Social Security Building’s lot accessed from Ashmont Street. Rumor has it that the Social Security Office does not ticket or tow people using its lot on weekends.

SOUTHWORTH PLANETARIUM

After lunch, we’ll drive the half mile to Southworth Planetarium, to see the show, “Journey to a Billion Suns.” Drive down Forest Avenue toward the center of the city, to find Falmouth Street on the right, before the highway. Tickets will be available at the group rate of $5.00 each, so be sure to tell ’em your’re with CMAS.

CAR POOLING

Car pooling turns a long drive into a party on wheels, but how would we arrange this? Those willing to drive, or needing a ride, are invited to drop a note to the Presidential Hotline. A message could then be sent to those who have inquired, listing drivers and passengers. Better ideas are welcome!

IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO JOIN US

If you are not yet on the guest list, head to the Doodle poll and tell us you’ll join us! This is important, so we could reserve more than the current fifteen seats for the planetarium show.
